I finally got around to writing a tutorial (work in progress):

https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Post-Pr ... h_Paraview

And here is the FreeCAD model used for the Tutorial:

Hi Bernd, integration over the full VTK object is already covered. I will also cover integration over a slice (to show how to reinforce a cross section of a beam) and integration over a line (to show how to reinforce a wall). However, for the the last one I want to use a 2D case (most likely the CIB example).

I still want to do an example of reinforcing a massive concrete structure and how to treat that with FC and PV, but that will come later. It would be nice to have a practical design case to work with. Do you have one from your day job?

what kind of structure? A beam, a wall, a slab, a foundation, a column?

Something bulky (truly 3D) so a foundation, I guess.

I have updated the Tutorial with two sections, one about integration over a slice and the other about visualization and integration along a line.

The latter section uses the following example:
FIB_wall.FCStd
