Code: Select all

  Model Name:	MacBook Pro
  Model Identifier:	MacBookPro16,1
Processor Name:	6-Core Intel Core i7
  Processor Speed:	2,6 GHz
  Number of Processors:	1
  Total Number of Cores:	6
L2 Cache (per Core):	256 KB
  L3 Cache:	12 MB
  Hyper-Threading Technology:	Enabled
  Memory:	16 GB
FreeCAD runs for me(at least now). I didn't find any problems but is is a short test. but I'm unable to compare to a recent machine since my former Mac book was from 2008.
And it runs FreeCAD? I couldn't find it in the list, but who cares, if it works?

Thanks!
And the GUI is smooth? I ask because the Rhino-people seem to have serious problems with smooth movements.

Thanks for the link. If i comes to a Linux machine the game gets much more complicated due to the overwhelming choice. :?

For me personal is music (ableton mostly) the main reason to buy a mac again... But trough the 64bit only strategy of Catalina i'm less sure if i re do it if i did know it on front!!
A lot of music apps (mainly from my synts) don't work anymore. Running wine and windows applications isn't a option yet...(https://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=32590) so.
specially this link is interesting: https://www.codeweavers.com/about/blogs ... atalinayet and https://www.codeweavers.com/about/blogs ... ossover-19

I have Parallels on my Mac and it runs pretty good. Haven't tried sound though.

parallels is a virtual machine(just like virtual box). Wine / crossover are applications that is able to run windows applications on native OSX / linux

Edit: This thread makes me doubting and rethinking all over again :?
