I talked about this in my clientele for months and asked to create a small project. now it is done here. wonderful. everyone can now see what is appropriate to work with ifc geometries.

this is how it looks in an "alien" system. here blender. many thanks

This project is like some real live BIM projects ... The BIM model of the architect does not fit with the architecture drawings. Furthermore the z-coordinates are totally wrong. The lazy engineer did not control this and just used the architecture BIM modell. All other used the engineers model as base and thus all are wrong ... Lots of work afterwards noone would like to pay for. :D

Thus as in every BIM project the most important ist the definition of the origin.

Here we are. I redid all structural engineering model. I used the original drawings not the Architecture model. Hopefully this model fits with the drawings.

yes it's like in real life. now it shows how flexible freecad is when changes are made. one of the most important decision criteria when choosing a cad system

meshes in freecad enables large files / geometries to be edited quickly. other systems cannot.
this is a huge advantage of freecad.

Not sure about columns/beam dimension in axis 1.
Used the drawing as approach.
BTW: you can use the axis grid as external reference in sketcher.
