FreeCAD models rendered in Blender

Postby ppemawm » Tue Feb 11, 2014 3:56 pm

Blender is an alternative to PovRay which IMHO is much easier to learn and use routinely to quickly render FreeCAD models.
Attached are some simple examples which were created by meshing a fully parametric FreeCAD model, exporting as an .stl file, then simply importing to Blender. I used Cycles Render from V2.69. It can also be used to animate FreeCAD assemblies.
