Re: planning a kitchen in an obj scanner file
thanks. the parts are from grabcad. but are not the complete range. i believe that if we approached kitchen manufacturers, many would make their program available for freecad. i could even imagine that some would be interested in freecad. their software is often bad and manufacturers have to spend a lot of money on maintenance.
it would be a win-win situation

Thanks. What was the scan made with? I am planning to use photogrammetry from a video with Meshroom.

With the Iphone 12 Pro and its LiDAR scanner we will have more and more of these 3D scans...

there is already a great demand for 3d moddelers who work with point clouds. I think there will be a lot more. this is a great opportunity for freecad, because you can use it to generate 3d geometry from point clouds
