I don't understand german (I'm italian mother language, and I used an automatic translation in english), but I think these 2 tutorials are really good for architecture in FC. All is clear, ordered, linear, and very easy to understand on how to organize a new (in this case simple) project. I hope there will be more tutorial with this quality and usefulness from this author. Thanks for sharing :D

I too do not understand German but can generally follow the high quality video without sound. Could you please explain how to apply automatic translation to English for those YouTube videos? I've looked but do not see an English option, only German captions.

Cheers.

It's there near the caption button, a button/line with "Automatic Translation", of course from german, to any language (the quality of the automatic translation it's not very good, but with the video it's suitable to understand IMHO).

Thanks for your prompt reply. Finally found it under Settings / Subtitles/CC / Autotranslate. Much easier to understand finer details with English suubtitles and sound off.

Was definitely unaware of the YT Autotranslate feature and have previously actively avoided tutorial videos in a foreign language because of the lack of translation.

Cheers, a new trick for an old dog...

New video by Prof. Dr. Peter Böttcher.

Excellent explication of the site function to "place" a building in a simple site and export in IFC (I don't speak german, but with the YT automatic translation it's ok :-) ):

IMHO FreeCad should be used/explained as a base SW in every University Architecture/Engineering course (especially for BIM, but also for FEM, mechanical modeling, etc etc).
