Hi drei,

In the English Read me first (and the French one) I will change the following:
  • In "Please provide your FreeCAD info!", update the screenshot in item #3 and update the version listed in item #4.
  • In "Are you sure your FreeCAD version is current?", update the first sentence to
The current stable version is v0.15.4671 published on April 8, 2015.
I think I'll also pin a new topic in the Install/Compile forum.

And the links to the Windows and Mac Installers.

I will update the Windows (and Mac when there up) Dev builds links on the Wiki to point to the 0.16 Dev folders.

@NormandC

Very well then, I'll update once you're able to update the screenshots. I'd rather just reuse them, referencing via a link, than to upload duplicates just for the language.

Of course, if the community requests it, I'll change them to the appropriate language.

Can't wait for the full release, good luck with the Ubuntu packages.
Need help? Feel free to ask, but please read the guidelines first

I just uploaded source packages for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Ubuntu 14.10 to the Stable Releases PPA.

The binary packages just started building: https://launchpad.net/~freecad-maintain ... e=building

I'm pretty sure they will build successfully, since I tested here with pbuilder (chroot environment). But I couldn't build with oce-0.17 so I couldn't test the package properly with CalculiX.

I also tried something for the first time: I backported git commit e18796e with a patch using quilt. No idea how that will come out! :D

we should post it on the facebook and google+ pages too. both are not used very actively anymore, but I suppose quite a few people which are not monitoring the forum or the google+ community will be informed this way.

I've notified the MacPorts maintainer (in the context of an OCE discussion, so hopefully that'll be upgraded too), for both you other Mac users out there ;). -Ian-

When releases are available on all platforms, I will also update the www.freecadweb.org homepage, and the little script that is accessed by the freecad start screen to check the current stable version. Then the start panel will inform that a new version is available.

Windows, Mac and Ubuntu are done. AFAIK we don't provide more platforms?

I made changes to your branch last night as I don't have write access to the "official" FreeCAD one.

Cool, thanks! I'll copy the changes in the other languages, and upload.
