git access

Post by wmayer »

Is it only me or do others currently have no access to git on SF either?

Whenever I try to access it I get this message:
ssh: connect to host git.code.sf.net port 22: Bad file number
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.
When I go to SF via browser then the access is very limited so I think it's a SF issue. The error I get there is:
The sourceforge.net website is temporarily in static offline mode.
Only a very limited set of project pages are available until the main website returns to service.
Now I wonder if there is any information when the site will be back.
Should we force it to finally move over to github soon?

It seem they have some problems ... I can't test right now.

Interesting how often they have serious problems.

Haven't been able to make a pull from it all day. Trying to access from a browser get's this message -
The sourceforge.net website is temporarily in static offline mode.
Only a very limited set of project pages are available until the main website returns to service.
So who knows what manner of nefarious goings on could be happening behind the scenes with the bunch running SF these days. I would double check all the binaries just to be sure no spamware got added or wrapped with a new installer.

Would this be the final incident to cause us to abandon SF?

I've been trying to figure out how to change the mirror on LaunchPad. Anybody got a hint?
