Re: CompileOnUnix wiki page
So it seems we need Yorik to unlock the page then?
Re: CompileOnUnix wiki page
Do you know how this can be solved? There are some pages that are locked.yorik wrote: ping

Re: CompileOnUnix wiki page
We need to solve this issue.
Current page: Compile_on_Linux/Unix
It does not work with the forum wiki tags: [wiki]Compile_on_Linux/Unix[/wiki]
---
The page should be named: Compile_on_Linux
It does work with the forum tags: Compile_on_Linux
---
The old page that remains locked: CompileOnUnix

Re: CompileOnUnix wiki page
Like I said on a related thread, this won't be an issue on the new https://wiki.freecadweb.org (heads up: this is a staging snapshot of our current wiki for testing purposes)
So we either suffer a few more days without the link working and testing if everything works on the new wiki..or we just bite the bullet: synch the new wiki and make it live.
I personally vote for the former option.

Re: CompileOnUnix wiki page
Ok, I'm planning to work on this today.
What i need to check first is what are the differences between
CompileOnUnix
and
Compile_on_Linux/Unix
It looks like I should move Compile_on_Linux/Unix -> Compile on Linux
I'll need to make sure the translation files are moved correctly also.
Wish me luck

Re: CompileOnUnix wiki page
Bad news: AFAICT, it's not possible to add redirects on subpages and therefore we have no capability to redirect Compile on Unix/Linux to Compile on Linux (including translations) case in point: https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Compile_on_Linux/Unix cancel clear. this works!
Good news: I've moved Compile on Unix/Linux to Compile on Linux (and all its translation pages) and created redirects to all

Re: CompileOnUnix wiki page
what should we do about CompileOnUnix ? redirect it to Compile on Linux ?
There are a lot of translation pages of it. It would be a shame to neglect. Any suggestions?

Re: CompileOnUnix wiki page
I can suggest that you combine these two documents.
From the document compile on unix, make a chapter of the former.
I expect that this suggestion will not be easy to do either.
