Wiki Double Entry: Part_Slice vs. Part_SliceApart

Post by maker »

Hi all,

today I accidentally noticed that there are maybe 2 doubled entries: :?:

Part Slice https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Part_Slice
Part SliceApart https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Part_SliceApart

To improve the overview can one of the administrators have a look at it?

These are different functions. SliceApart performs a slice and an explode. Thus they partly overlap. This could be differently, but that's only (haha!) content.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf Deutsch, en français, en español.

@ chrisb
Formally speaking: you are right. But I think if you read the explanatory text for both functions again and again in the wiki, I find it rather confusing or I find it hard to see a differentiation. In my opinion the 'explanatory text' does not really improve the understanding of the average user.

Using the same figure https://wiki.freecadweb.org/File:Part_Slice_Demo.png does not contribute to the impression, there are different features.
