Re: Referencing an Object in relation to another

The question was the possibility to invert an edge in a sketch (CW or CCW), so by default NormalToEdge would select the other vertex
I didn't find this possibility.

But finally the answer of my question was to select the correct vertex ..
Sorry for this stupid question
Many thanks for your prompt answer..

I could observe that according to the line,
  • Once the pillar is created on the right , and for another line
  • it is created on the left .
What makes this distinction :?:
Orientation of the line

Not sure what you mean here, more explanation ?

When you look at that Video.
You can observe that by creating a sketch to a line, by choosing mapping "NormaToEdge", the vertical line that will be created is on the "right" of the line
Choosing another line, I could observe that the vertical line could be created on the left of the line.
So I tried to find an explanation of this orientation. (Why once right, why once left) ??
So to the question: Is there a parameter which can influence of the "preferred edge" of a line ?
Are lines CW or CCW oriented ?

Meantime, I found a solution to fix the issue. :D

However, if there can be an explanation of the "preferred" edge of a line, I would be happy to have it ;)

OK, got it.

Seem mapping to the starting point of the edge in sketch.
