Ticket #4491: Preferences vanish on MacOS (French, Russian etc...)

Hello to All,
I am new to FreeCAD. I have just installed on my old Imac, the 0.19 and I realize that I can't access the preferences as on the 0.18.4 version nor with an AppImage of the 0.19 version installed on my Fédora workstation. I don't know if it's a bug or my novice philistine mistake.
Yours sincerely and bravo for all this promising work.

Hi, Welcome.
Seems specific to Mac so can't really analyse as I don't have one.
Anyway you can still reach the preferences by clicking the small gear icon at the top right of the Start page.

That seems to be a problem with the french version. Can you try to change the language in the preferences in a version where they are still available and then start the current 0.19?

1 effectively by changing the language (English) no more problem.

I was once interested in Catia v5 ( Gehry Technologies -
