Hi all,
I need to use an object center line for dimensioning.
The manually add centerline to ... feature is not useful for my task.
The centerline I am talking about is shown in this pic:
Is it possible to use those "global" centerlines for dimensioning?
Thanks in advance
Cappy

Re: Center Lines to use for dimensioning?
The view centerlines (Horizontal and Vertical Centerline properties in View tab) can not be used for dimensioning at this time.
Why are face/edge based Cosmetic Centerlines (TechDraw_FaceCenterLine) not useful?

... because I need the center line of an object or scetch.
The outer lines are not vertical or horizontal.
I did not figure out how to get a vertical centerline!?

As a workaround you may add a line to the model and add that to your drawing. What you describe seems to position the global center somewhat arbitrary anyway. Perhaps you can show us an image so we deal with this not only in theory.
