Thanks. I will try freecad and what new allplan release will do. We use models when things get complicated. It is a new medium to get control and a grip on interfaces. Its not a choice between drawings OR models. Both are used. We still use paper too

It's always a matter of testing a workflow with very simple files, where it's easy to spot what works and what doesn't, and then go expanding as you gain knowledge of what can be trusted and what not

When working across different applications, it's basically an unavoidable process, even (more? ) between famous commercial apps...
