Unknown command 'PartDesign_Sprocket'

Post by TopDown » Sat Jul 11, 2020 4:24 am

I have installed (using the FreeCAD_0.19.21857-Win-Conda_vc14.x-x86_64.7z)

OS: Windows 10 (10.0)
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.19.21857 (Git)
Build type: Release
Branch: master
Hash: 750c169a6cb999f084915494f2fbec7c07297aae
Python version: 3.8.2
Qt version: 5.12.5
Coin version: 4.0.0
OCC version: 7.4.0
Locale: English/Australia (en_AU)

and now, when ever I activate the PartDesign WB I get,
Unknown command 'PartDesign_Sprocket'

Is it something I have/should have done or....?

Cheers.

Unknown command 'PartDesign_Sprocket'
What happens when you run this command?

Code: Select all

Gui.runCommand("PartDesign_Sprocket")
This is a command defined in Python, so you should have the appropriate files in the installation directory.

Code: Select all

Mod/PartDesign/SprocketFeature.py
If you don't have this file, then it means there is some problem with the packaging of your version. Packaging problems with the development version, in your case a Windows Conda version, occur sometimes. If this is the case, then just get the next version available and see if the error has corrected itself.

The message just means that the Sprocket profile utility is missing; nevertheless, the rest of the commands of the PartDesign Workbench should be available.

Thanks vocx,

From you suggestions..

>>> Gui.runCommand("PartDesign_Sprocket")
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<input>", line 1, in <module>
Base.FreeCADError: No such command 'PartDesign_Sprocket'
>>>

The file is found here...
Capture.PNG
Capture.PNG (27.07 KiB) Viewed 287 times
Appears when I unzipped it all I created an unnecessary level of folders, would that have any effect?

Cheers.

Remove the Assembly2 workbench. It is obsolete. It is not the same as the A2plus workbench.
