Same problem here on PC, cannot have the addon installed. When trying to install the progress bar will keep moving but nothing happens, and when stopping and restarting, nothing changes, but FreeCAD addon managers say that the Moder UI addon is installed.

Do you have an idea why this is happening?

Here it is :

OS: Windows 10
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.18.4 (GitTag)
Build type: Release
Branch: releases/FreeCAD-0-18
Hash: 980bf9060e28555fecd9e3462f68ca74007b70f8
Python version: 3.6.6
Qt version: 5.6.2
Coin version: 4.0.0a
OCC version: 7.3.0
Locale: French/France (fr_FR)

Is it because it is not 0-19 version ?
Thanks,

Yes. Modern UI not compatible with 0.18.

Ok sorry about that :| , I should have found the info myself.
For the moment, as .19 is not easily available for newbies I found a quite nice solution by using the others addons (glass, icon set) and using a dark style sheet.

Best, and thank you for your answer :)

It's not good form to advocate for using a development version but since FreeCAD has postponed the release, the development version is lightyears ahead of 0.18.4
So in that context we're telling people to use it. It's actually more stable than 0.18.4
You can stay up to date with it, depending on your OS, https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/rele ... g/0.19_pre

Do you have the source for this Modern UI posted somewhere? I'd like to create a UI of my own but I don't know where to start, seeing yours would be a great help.

Thanks.
