Limited File lengths

Only at work and only those that I can't replace with open source, but I have to use a closed source (non-MS) software that makes me feel like I'm wearing a straitjacket

That limit is artificial and can be easily (*) fixed.

You didn't use a product from the Microsoft recently, did you?

Anyway we should be OK wth file path up to 260 characters - current limit in ccx is 132 (128 + ".inp") and it's there just because some variables are defined in fortran/C as character arrays with length 132.
