I remember two disscussions I'm not able to find. One was about a solver wich could calculate penetrations like a cannonball into a wall, and the other was about a FEM solver developed in Čech republic. May be some other remembers these topics better than me.
Can we categorize all the FEM pages by adding them to a [[Category:FEM]] ?
Do we have categories for other modules on the wiki already? If yes we really should do this!

Wow, now that's one that really needs to be in Debian Science!

code aster https://www.code-aster.org/
code saturne https://www.code-saturne.org
hermes (agros) http://www.hpfem.org/hermes/ (http://www.agros2d.org/)
nastran https://github.com/nasa/NASTRAN-95
su2 https://su2code.github.io/
take note also about code saturne and su2, they are both for CFD

I will for sure not support all this solver! It would take ages to develop ...

Yes, of course not :) It was not meant that all of it should be implemented by the end of the year, just to have a list where one can come back to later if there is a need or wish for something else.

FYI, it may be good to being getting FreeCAD FEMs 3rd party deps more established in the package ecosystem:

Maybe this needs to be a separate thread?
