No need to open a bug, it is known behaviour, to OCC as well; and its nothing FreeCAD developers can do about it.

Thanks, that saves some time.

What is the situation with OCC developement? Did they end developing the code and release it as OSS because they decided to not continue with it, or is it an ongoing project where such bugs can be reported?

The 3D surface tool made quite a nice job of left-hand half of the profile but it's very slow for a decent finish ( 1mm x 0.5mm ) . It takes over 30s to make a path and about twice that to write it out as GCODE. I'm guessing that is probably a result of most of it being python script and inefficiencies of constantly swapping data formats between the various libraries. A quick look at the code shows even the most trivial low levels calculations seems to be constantly calling helper classes to convert vectors and points back and forth.

You can see from the version numbers used, that OCC is still under development. However, it seems that they know that fillets need some love, they have noone working on it.
