Open Designs with FreeCAD

Post by Berserk design »

A thread with random designs made with FreeCAD (obvious: P)

Starting from the topic that matters most in these times COVID-19 I have read a note from a protector for doctors called AerosolBox with a CC design for reproduction.
I leave the link with the information. https://sites.google.com/view/aerosolbo ... authuser=0
It seems important to me that 3D design is available to be easily adapted to the needs of each community.
I leave a fast advance and later I will work it with a spreadsheet and upload the .FCStd.

This design comes from an "open source" project of a respirator made by a team from Spain. I put them in quotation marks because the only information they offer is an ugly .step file because there is no possibility of working at all and it was also very difficult to find.
They say that it is easier to criticize than to do something so that's why I started to pass it to FreeCAD so that it can be working for the community.
The measurements are not the real ones but they can serve as a basis for someone who is interested in completing this project and if it is safe for something didactic it remains

They should go in Parts_Library
Find your user.cfg and system.cfg files : Macro_findConfigFiles

Imperial system makes no sense, go metric ! ! !

Simple, functional, elegant. I LOVE IT! :D :D :D

I can think of a great many times such a simple device would have been incredibly useful. Sad that it has taken a pandemic to inspire the active production and use of such products. Well done Berserk design.
Sincerely,

A support for doctors designed Quinn Callander, a Scout from Maple Ridge BC
People around the world are making Ear Savers for their local health workers!
I thought it was important to design it in FreeCAD so that if necessary make any adjustments that are necessary for your community :). It will be available soon in my FreeCAD library fork and I look forward to the official one soon
