Body indeed provides an LCS. But Body is a container, not an object (that's not completely true by some ways but I KISS it for now). :)

I was wondering the same, found this thread useful and want to add another observation, even though the discussion here happened some time ago. A child of Part compound is allowed to be appear in multiple compounds. This is not true for Std Part. Std Part kind of "owns" its children and they can not be children of some other std part at the same time. This is true for Std Group as well, just that a Std Part prohibits "child reuse" with an exception, while Std Group just issues a warning and displays red lines in the dependency graph.
