Hi!
I'm trying to create a solid from a scetch using a revolution. The scetch is fully constrained and uses parabolas.
The revolution only shows up if I choose the X-Axis as center and if the angle is less than 360°
All other axes don't produce an error, but are completely invisible.
I did try a recompute without anny visible effect.
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this is a bug. My search on the forums and bugtracker was inconclusive.

thank you for your reply. Thats rather interesting that the part-design version does not work but the part one does.
I suspected the parabolas to be the cause and rebuilt an easiery sketch using only staight lines but it also won't show up on axes other than X.

The lack of error is a bug. The rest is intended behavior: your revolution touches the base solid with just an edge. That does not permit to make a single solid, so it is discarded by PartDesign (partdesign motto is "always only one solid in body"). Make your revolution properly touch or intersect with the base, like so for example:Gefrierbrand wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 11:13 am All other axes don't produce an error, but are completely invisible.

well that makes sense and using a "better connection" to the base it works great. Thank you for your quick help.
Now: shall I report the lack of error-message as a bug?

I guess, yes.Gefrierbrand wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 12:19 pm Now: shall I report the lack of error-message as a bug?
Although the plan is to lift the restriction eventually (I think), for 0.19 that is not happening, and fixing this bug may be a good idea.
I'm not sure if the bug is still present in current version, but in my somewhat outdated 0.19.18234 it definitely is.
