STEP export retains only some colors

Hi,

i want to color in some faces of a 3D object in Freecad. But i have some trouble with that, not all parts
keep their color after the export. I have here a simple example of a PCB, you can see the color of the PCB
is in the export but the pads on the back are not. Do i have to convert it somehow or what is going on?

If I import your Step file FreeCAD 0.19 hangs. And anyway to really help you we would need a FreeCAD file.

I also cannot open the Step files I create myself from the forum.FCStd file. I do not know why. Maybe somebody else can assist?

I have no issue when exporting/importing the file to step

Thanks, that is useful information. The issue with FreeCAD hanging seems not related to the STEP import/export settings. Further testing shows that the problem is related to the FreeCAD (Coin?) version.

With the version listed below, and the settings from @easyw-fc I am able to create a Step file with correct colors.

Is there a way to get that working in version 18 the tools im using are not ported to the V19, to import from my PCB CAD software to Freecad. Also i have noticed if i export this as a step file and import it to any other CAD software (i.e. CATIA etc) i only get the PCB but not the components. They appear in the part tree but are not shown/empty. Thanks already for the Trouble shouting.
