Tiny displayed dimensions

Post by GigiG » Fri Oct 16, 2020 12:27 pm

Hi,
I'm working on an Alienware 17 R5 (NVidia GeForce GTX 1080) laptop, with screen resolution 3840x2160. The displayed dimensions (at least in Sketcher and Measure's tool labels) are tiny (almost unreadable ...) Is there a way to increase the font size? I tried changing font size in Sketcher Preferences window but without success.
Thanks and regards

Due to issue #4014 we don't know the exact revision number of your v0.19 can you make doubly sure you're using the most up to date 0.19 and retest ?

that is easy just change the value in the first item, at the top in this screen shot, in sketcher preferences.

I just tried it and it works as expected. You don't need to restart FreeCAD, just double click the sketch back into edit mode and you will see the changes.

Just to offer another option.

Manipulator workbench will provide dimensioning and the properties of the resulting dimension object has font properties.:

In your screenshot you have a Draft workbench. The fontsize can be configured after loading Draft workbench in Preferences->Draft->TextsAndDimensions. For an existing dimension you can change it in the View attributes.
A Sketcher Lecture with in-depth information is available in English, auf deutsch, en français, en español.

Thanks all. Now I'm facing the same issue using Arch>Survey tool. Is there a way to change the Label font size? Regards
