He is using Part Design with multiple Body containers and ShapeBinders

You said you were using multiple Part containers.

If the method shown in the video addresses your issue, then we have not been talking about the same thing. :roll:

Ah, well. Different ways to reach the target. I were using Parts and got stuck finally (the compounds did not seem to solve my issue). So I started re-thinking and now try a different path. Maybe with a bit more experience I'll try that compound once again. No idea where I will end up shortly.

Just to let you know that I also managed to handle the compound. It seems that you need to drag the cross section into a new body in order to get a base feature on which you can create a new sketch. FreeCAD is really a mighty tool, but you need to get used to some awkwardness in the UI...

I think the awkwardness wears off with familiarity. 8-)
