For some reason I'm unable to create a chamfer of this mountain man profile. I select the top face and activate the tool... After some time I get the Chamfer parameters and the render is blank. I suppose something is preventing it from succeeding but I can't figure it out.
Actually what I'd like to do is have the sides drafted at 5 degrees because I'm looking to make a stamp.
Thanks,
Dan

I'm short of time, but you may check this yourself: Start with a very tiny radius, and increase it until it fails.
- Fillets tend to fail on nearly but not quite tangent edges
- Fillets tend to fail on nearly 0° edges
- Fillets almost always fail if the consume more then the adjacent face.

You need at least FreeCAD 0.19.23300 to edit my current sketches.

Re: Champher/Draft Help
Fc does not correctly handle chamfers and fillets along B-spline
I make a base for it and on this one, the fillets works
but with Partdesign, how long is it, we have time to make a grid of 1000 crossword boxes between each page

Re: Champher/Draft Help
Thanks papyblaise and chrisb. Is it in the pipeline to enhance FreeCADs ability to handle chamfers?
Do you think an alternate approach like using two profiles, one slightly larger than the other some distance apart and then lofting between them work? I did make one attempt in that direction but have been successful so far.
Thanks,
Dan
