The downloaded DXF imports only lines, no arcs or circles. How did you get this:

This is what it should be, the smaller holes are just counterbores..

That's what I said earlier..

That was the svg import..

That exact dxf is what I opened in Fusion and it was fine..see my other post.

I have attached the FreeCAD file I created with the dxf file you posted.

I did a couple settings in the Preferences for DXF import. I set it to use legacy importer and ticked the Join geometry checkbox.

I then imported the file. It contained a bunch of geometry. I selected the geometry for the outer block and converted to sketch, then did the same for the large circles, and again for the small circles. This was because I intended to use the hole tool to create the counterbores. (that ended up not happeneing, because the holes a b-splines and the hole tool gets it's location from the center of a circle...)
