What is your GFX chipset ? Is your driver up-to-date ? Are you using a Hi-DPI screen, or a dual screen setup ?

The menu on the Start page is not missing, it has moved to the right of the next line. This may be due to different defaults, in case you have reset the config.
Can you try a different driver for the graphics card? we had some issues concerning these, often an upgrade helped, sometimes even a downgrade. Some of these issues are collected or linked in the Known OS specific issues.

I downloaded new drivers for the Intel® HD Graphics 520, updated to version 26.20.100.7263. And it works!!!
Thank you for the help, I am now going to explore all the new features of the path workbench!!!
