Beginner, non-video tutorial series

Post by drmacro »

I have added another module to the written beginners tutorial series.

It includes no video, thus can be examined at the speed of the reader.

So far the series has:

- 1_0 a basic intro tutorial, introduces basic pad operations, subtractive revolution and pocketing, the user creates a counterbored hole in a lump of material
- 1_1 a further intro introducing the Hole tool to create the same counterbored hole
- 1_2 a quick intro to TechDraw workbench to create a drawing of the counterbored part from the previous two treatise

1_2 has just been posted. Comments welcome to improve it and the others.
There are known issues with all that will be fixed as time allows.
Feel free to open an issue on the GITHUB Issues tab. ;)

Hi drmacro,

I really like your tutorial series. I would like to contribute, and send you my comments when I have ideas for improvements or when I find a typo.
At the moment I am taking a very similar approach for a beginner series for my video tuts.
Do you prefer comments here of in GitHub? Thanks

Thanks!

I'd prefer opening an issue on github, since then I can track them easier. :)
