[Duplicate] Possible bug: Cross-hair misaligned in Sketcher

Post by davidosterberg »

I am experiencing a bug in the latest windows build of 0.19 (installed today).
The cross hair in sketcher is not actually aligned with the coordinates.

For example, when trying to sketch with auto constraints, I have to aim to the side as can be seen in attached image.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

There is a certain radius around a point where you can catch the point. You can play with Preferences->Display->Colors->PickRadius. (And yes, we know that the place of this setting is a bit special).

Thanks Chrisb. My concern and the reason that I consider it a bug is that if I actually aim correctly the point will not catch.

I cannot confirm on MacOS. I have set pick radius to 7.
Can a windows user please confirm?

This behaviour is known from 0.18 and was fixed in 0.19. You can try to reset the configuration with the button in the preferences, just in case the versions interfere. Another possibility is to delete your config files or to move them in case you want to restore them.

Deleting the config files did not help. Also deleting the whole config directory did not help.
I fired up the good old 0.18 to check the difference.

There everything is working fine

Note that the pointer and cross-hair is a lot smaller in v0.18.

I have never seen any problem like that. Selection appears dead on.

I am using the "Gesture" mouse model, and the cursor is an arrow, not crosshairs.

Hmm, maybe it is a Windows 10 thing. Perhaps a related issue.
Is it intentional that the font size for some of the text labels are so huge.
E.g., the DOCUMENTS, HELP, ... seem to have much larger font size than the rest of the gui.
