[invalid] making number of recent documents customizable in the preferences

When dealing with assemblies one quickly have a dozen files open and one wants to jump to these documents. It annoyed me that I see only 4 last used files.
I had a look at the code and the number 4 is hardcoded.

Before I give it a go, I ask if it OK that I try to make a PR to make this setting customizable in the preferences? Or is there a reason or was there a discussion to hardcode the 4?

This is customizable since years: Preferences->General->General. I have increased it and it works.
