The source code for v0.18 was released on March 12, then the work began to prepare the installers and packages for the various operating systems (Windows, macOS and Linux). This release supports both Python2 and Python3, and it's giving the packagers some headaches to make it smoothly working on all platforms. In the meantime, quite a few bugs were found, and a point release 0.18.1 was released on April 4th.
Accordingly, we have postponed announcing the release and updating the website/wiki until all builds are ready. We'll update this topic when everything is settled out. Thank you for your patience!

- The freecad-stable PPA for Ubuntu/Linux Mint proposes 0.18.1, see https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Install ... A_with_GUI
Please note: the documentation package (freecad-doc) is not ready yet, and the old freecad-doc_0.17 package conflicts with the new freecad package; you will have to uninstall freecad-doc first for the upgrade to succeed.
