I found a workflow that produces a complete dxf from a techdraw, independent of what objects were included.

For anyone else struggling with this:
Simply save as SVG file and use inkscape to convert to DXF.
I had to do some actions in inkscape.
First Select all CTRL-a
Convert text to path. Shift-Ctrl-C
Ungroup.Shift-Ctrl-G
Then save as as dxf. The resulting file is nicely complete and shows perfect in the dxf view I used.

The nice bonus is that the whole chain is open source and not depending on obscure online converters:-)
Need to save this somewhere..perhaps even automate it somehow ?

That would be nice indeed. If someone can at least add it to the wiki, that would be useful.
But If it can be intergrated in freecad one time, that would be the best. Not sure how inkscape is buildup and if there is a library with the required operations that can be reused.
In the current state, I would even don't mind to remove the export to dxf option.
