Appearance/materials. How to add a material?

Postby DeepSOIC » Tue Dec 02, 2014 11:54 pm

Hi.
Is it possible to add a material to the list of materials without having to compile FreeCAD? I've looked in GUI and in the file system and.. didn't find anything. Maybe I have simply missed it... I haven't looked into the source code yet...
I just want to use it as a shortcut to quickly set color and transparency of stuff, and the standard set doesn't seem to have anything like glass... and silicon.

OS: Windows 8.1
Word size of OS: 64-bit
Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit
Version: 0.15.4212 (Git)
Branch: EllipseAngleViaPoint_rebase3_sqd
Hash: b87dcc58b5ef5a28712b96ca2fa38e4f9d8d7fca
Python version: 2.7.5
Qt version: 4.8.6
Coin version: 4.0.0a
OCC version: 6.7.0

Thanks in advance!!

The guy I was talking with wanted to design a lens and apply glass as the material...
